Bali to Gili Trawangan: Fast Boats

The most popular way of getting to the Gili Islands is on one of the fast boats that take you from Bali to Gili Trawangan. These boats operate out of Bali and go directly to either Lombok, Gili Air and Gili Trawangan. This is the quickest and most cost effective way of getting to the Gili Islands. There are lots of companies that operate, but you can check availability and book your tickets here, for a fast boat to Gili Trawangan with the most reliable companies.

If you are in Kuta/Seminyak then we recommend using Gili Getaway which departs from Serangan Harbour at 9am (boat crossing approx 2hrs 30 mins), this one of the fastest boats and also goes directly to Gili Trawangan. From Ubud and east Bali we recommend using Blue Water Express which departs from Padang Bai at 11.15 (boat crossing approx 80mins). Hotel pickups are included, children get special rates, and infants under 3 years old travel for free.

Bali to Gili Trawangan: Domestic Flights

Lombok is easily accessible by air with daily domestic flights arriving from Bali, and Java. There are also direct international flights from Singapore (2½hr) and Kuala Lumpa (2½hr). All flights now arrive at Lombok's new airport which is just south of Praya. Transfer from the airport to Gili Trawangan will now take approx 2 hours.

We can arrange a driver to meet you at the airport and drive you to Teluk Nara to the speed boat, for the 10 minute crossing to the island. The cost of the car is rather expensive so we advise you to arrange the speed boat with us and take a taxi from the airport to Teluk Nara.
